  14. Sounds to me like a good candidate for splitting into seperate screens.
  15. I don't know what options you're trying to set up, but isn't there a
  16. logical way to split them up, so that each set of options is available
  17. from the main screen or window via a button?

  19. If you've got so many options on screen that they look cramped at 640x512
  20. and with the smallest type face, they'd surely be better off seperated
  21. out a little.

  23. To answer your actual question, 640x512 is standard PAL Hires-Laced. You
  24. might get a little more with overscan.  But in all honesty, if you're
  25. looking at a screen that size on a TV, using a 5-point font, you'll get
  26. major eyestrain.
